This Lung Cancer Risk Calculator is made available to the public for non-profit/non-commercial use. This prediction calculator produces a 3-year lung cancer risk probability according to the Lung Cancer Risk Prediction Model which was developed from data that the BC Cancer Agency Research Center has collected through years of research.

The Lung Cancer Risk Calculator (the “Calculator”) results or predictions of lung cancer by the Calculator should not be taken as absolute and is NOT a substituted for a medical examination, advice, diagnosis or treatment by a certified health care provider or your family doctor. Your certified health care provider or family doctor is the best person to provide you with medical consultation or guidance on specific health issues related to your current condition. If you are showing symptoms or currently ill, seek immediate help form your health care provider or family doctor. If you are a current smoker, one of the most significant decisions you can make for your health is to stop smoking. Your family doctor can provide you with smoking cessation products and methods that will greatly increase your chance of success. The Lung Cancer Risk Calculator is NOT 100% accurate; no lung cancer risk prediction model is perfect. It is crucial to recognize that some individual with low predicted lung cancer risk will develop lung cancer, and individual with higher lung cancer risks will NOT all develop lung cancer.
